Where Was Little E. Gordon When Ohio State's President Needed Him?

Ohio State president E. Gordon Gee probably needed a filter Wednesday. A little E. Gordon sitting on his shoulder, flicking his ear every time comments about non-automatic qualifying schools or the United Association of the Little Sisters of the Poor began to surface in his brain.

Gee went on what has become one of the most ridiculous rants any president has voiced since talk of weapons of mass destruction.

"Well, I don't know enough about the X's and O's of college football," Gee proclaimed while probably standing on a soapbox in front of a large mirror. "I do know, having been both a Southeastern Conference president and a Big Ten president, that it's like murderer's row every week for these schools. We do not play the Little Sisters of the Poor. We play very fine schools on any given day.

"So I think until a university runs through that gauntlet that there's some reason to believe that they not be the best teams to [be] in the big ballgame."
