Baylor's Scott Drew Doesn't Have Much To Say About Troubles

KANSAS CITY -- Just a few months ago, Baylor and head coach Scott Drew were riding a wave of incredible highs.

The program was coming off its first NCAA tournament win in nearly 60 years as it rolled to the Elite Eight of the tournament for the first time in the modern era. Recruits were paying attention.

But with the basketball season just weeks ago, the news out of the Bears camp hasn't been as positive. First, star guard LaceDarius Dunn was temporarily suspended from the team and school after allegedly punching his girlfriend. Then last week FOXsports.com reported that the program heading for an NCAA investigation because of alleged recruiting violations in connection to text messages to 6-foot-9 Colombian Hanner Perea.

Drew declined to talk much about the controversies surrounding his program during Thursday's Big 12 men's basketball media day at the Sprint Center. The NCAA does not confirm or deny its investigations.

"I have to decline comment, sorry," Drew said when asked by FanHouse to confirm whether or not his program is under NCAA investigation or if he has been notified of an impending probe. "That's the schools policy on anything like that, we just decline comment."
