Christian Standhardinger Denied Transfer by LaSalle After Indecency Arrest

Christian Standhardinger, a Nebraska transfer that had planned to enroll at LaSalle, was cited Sunday for suspicion of public indecency in a Lincoln, Neb. park.

The Omaha World-Herald is reporting that Standhardinger was spotted in his car by police with his pants down and shirt off. He was accompanied by a 19-year-old female who was also shirtless. Both were cited for being in the park after hours and the public indecency charge.

Standhardinger, a 6-foot-8 sophomore from Germany, averaged 9.5 points for Nebraska in six games before leaving the team last month. He had planned on heading to Philadelphia to play for LaSalle, and he was officially announced as a member of the team Tuesday afternoon. By Tuesday night, however, LaSalle coach John Giannini had changed his mind.

"Christian has recently been made aware of a personal situation that demands his full attention," Giannini said in a statement. "We believe it is in the best interest of all parties that Christian Standhardinger does not attend La Salle University."
