Collegiate Baseball Poll ? April 16

Another SEC Team Sits At The Top… TUCSON, Ariz. ? Louisiana St. (30-7) has been ranked No. 1 in the latest NCAA Division I baseball poll by Collegiate Baseball newspaper. It marks the first time this season the Tigers have been ranked No. 1. LSU, which swept a 3-game series against Alabama over the past weekend, has won six straight games and 13 of its last 14. The Tigers are tied for the top spot with Kentucky in the Southeastern Conference at 11-4. Previously No. 1 ranked Kentucky fell to second after posting a 2-2 record last week. The Wildcats lost to Louisville but then won two of three on the road at Arkansas. Poll Notes: In key top 30 action during the past week, Florida beat Florida St. to sweep the 3-game season series between the two teams. UCLA won two of three at Arizona and Oregon won two of three at Stanford. Several teams have been red hot.
