Good-bye, Jim Tressel.
Bringing to an end months of speculation (and misery) in Columbus, Ohio State officials said on Monday morning that Tressel had resigned his position, effective immediately.
The Ohio State program has been under intense scrutiny since the Tattoo-gate scandal first broke in December. But even after Tressel and Ohio State officials addressed that issue, more reports of wrongdoing continued to surface in Columbus, and in recent weeks, even some prominent Buckeye supporters have questioned Tressel's ability to lead the program.
