Michigan WR Stonum Arrested, Suspended

For the time being, at least, Michigan is going to have to get by without one of its top offensive weapons.

Wideout Darryl Stonum, who caught 49 passes for 633 yards in 2010, has been suspended indefinitely by new coach Brady Hoke after being arrested for drunk driving over the weekend. It was Stonum's second drunk driving offense. The wideout also committed a series of probation violations and spent three days in jail last summer.

In a statement, Hoke said Stonum's latest arrest "unacceptable, and won't be tolerated."

"Darryl has been suspended indefinitely from all team activities," Hoke said. "If he fulfills all of the commitments he has to the legal system and our program, we will make a determination regarding his return to the team."
