An increasingly difficult season took another troubling turn for the Minnesota Gophers men's basketball team Monday night when leading scorer and rebounder Trevor Mbakwe was arrested for violating a restraining order placed on him by a female companion.This comes while the No. 25 Gophers are in the midst of losing three of their last four games and a week after junior guard Devoe Joseph announced he was leaving Tubby Smith's program.
Mbawke, whose playing career at Minnesota was delayed a year due to a felony assault charge while at Miami-Dade County Community College, could face a possible suspension following his arrest on the latest misdemeanor charge.
