The investigators over at the NCAA are certainly staying busy these days.
Just days after news broke that Ohio State coach Jim Tressel had been handed a two-game suspension for violating NCAA rules and just a week after Oregon admitted it was under investigation for possible recruiting violations, officials at Georgia are admitting that the school broke NCAA rules during the recruitment of linebacker Ray Drew earlier this year.

The NCAA on Wednesday released a "notice of allegations" outlining alleged rules violations in Vols' basketball, baseball and football programs. But while the apparently very serious hoops charges relate to incidents that actually took place during the tenure of current Vols coach Bruce Pearl, the football charges date back to the nightmarish days of Lane Kiffin, who spent one eventful and ridiculous season in Knoxville before heading off to Los Angeles to take over at USC.

Just ask Kirk Herbstreit.
Herbstreit, the former Ohio State quarterback and current ESPN analyst, announced last week that he and his family were leaving Columbus, their long-time home, for Nashville. The reason, according to Herbstreit, was the unyielding abuse he has taken from some Ohio State fans regarding his work for ESPN.

What were college football Saturdays like before Twitter? It's almost hard to remember.
Twitter has utterly and completely transformed the way the world interacts. News is broken on Twitter. Revolutions are launched on Twitter. And, yeah, that's all fine and good. But for college football fans, the most important thing is this: Twitter has made watching college football (and following college football) a whole lot more fun. And interactive. And democratic.
