Trailing 14-10 to No. 5 Alabama entering the fourth quarter on Saturday, No. 12 LSU was facing the reality of a second-straight loss -- this one on its home turf. Only this time, three straight scores in the fourth provided just enough of a cushion, despite a late touchdown score by Alabama's Julio Jones, for a 24-21 victory.LSU opened up the game's scoring with a field goal, then the two teams would trade touchdowns the next two quarters, leaving the Tigers four points down in the fourth quarter.
A Stevan Ridley 1-yard run, sandwiched between two Josh Jasper field goals gave the home team a 10-point advantage with just over five minutes to play.
