A 16-year old girl claimed that an unnamed Washington player forced her to perform sex acts in a Seattle apartment Jan. 8, but witnesses at the scene have said that the act was consensual. The statement went on to say that there was not sufficient evidence to substantiate the rape claim. Additionally, Seattle police had requested that no charges be filed .
The witnesses did say that the player provided the himself and the girl with alcohol, and the case will be referred to the city attorney's office to determine whether or not charges will be filed for the player providing alcohol to a minor.
The University of Washington did not release a statement because the investigation is ongoing.
