Dana Holgorsen is the new coach at West Virginia.
And his ascension to the top job could not have unfolded in a more awkward fashion.
Holgorsen, the former Oklahoma State offensive coordinator who has named "head-coach-in-waiting" for the Mountaineers late last year, was introduced as the program's head-coach-for-real on Friday night--about a year or so ahead of schedule. The timeline accelerated thanks to the alleged misdeeds of coach Bill Stewart, who is reported to have sought the assistance of local reporters in digging up "dirt" on Holgorsen.
