Sure, the NCAA basketball tournament is nice and all. It's entertaining. Occasionally thrilling.
But you know what?
It's not college football. Not by a longshot.
See, I don't care what Jay Bilas says. I am immune to the muted pomposity of Jim Nantz, the general cluelessness of Clark Kellogg and Steve Kerr, the rantings and ravings of Jim Vitale, even the convivial hoops brilliance of Verne Lundquist. They can say what they will, but on the American sports scene, college football reigns supreme (actually, on this point, I'm sure Verne would agree).
